Small possible Rework for the Battlefield mechanic Maps

As it is right now, only the last 2 minutes or so of the Battlefield Maps are important, as only the number of Bases your faction controls the moment the map is over is counted.

How about if instead, each Faction gains Points based on the number of Bases they control every Second, and then the total Score is compared at the End?

That would maybe make controlling and actually holding Bases appealing, cuz right now this is TvT for 20 minutes followed by more or less random map outcome in the end

That wouldn't result in anything better, people will join, see a certain team having huge score because they were the first to capture flags then will lose hope in winning event and go for PvP.

Castle VS Castle is already working the way you suggest, and that's how it always ends up from my observations.

the real issue i have with it tho is that (as far as i can tell), current map score is factored into balancing maps.

So the tryhard constant parties on this server ignore map objective on purpose so the map gets unbalanced in their favor and they can farm with as little opposition as possible. Seen that happen more than once in Fortress too.

 

Also, in most other maps, atleast there is the tradeoff for them that they lose the map and miss out on 1 box of luck.

On battlefield however, u don't even get punished for scummy tactics like that, u can just ignore flags, "lose" the map 0-4 for 20+ minutes and enjoy nice, unbalanced farm, and then go ahead and win the map in 1 push in the last 3 minutes,
